Meeting Summary:

PUBLIC COMMENT
Representatives of the Portage County Engineer's Office were in attendance to discuss several topics related to their office, particularly related to the remaining two phases of the Hudson Road project. Also, they addressed concerns shared by residents regarding speeding and parking along Lakeview Drive in the Brady Lake area. They have provided the township with a list of the linear footage of all the roads formerly in the jurisdiction of the village, both dedicated and private. This will help the road department make a determination about what roads the township is responsible for plowing and maintaining.

PCSO Detective Nick DeSerio provided the board with statistics for September calls within Franklin Township. he stated that there would be extra patrols placed throughout the township during Trick or Treat.

City of Kent Fire Chief Bill Myers reported on thirteen fire responses and fifty-three EMS responses that were answered within the township in August.

ZONING REPORT
Mr. Ciccozzi reported that at last evening's BZA hearing two variances were granted on behalf of the Beck family, current owners of The Overlook. Discussion took place about noise and hours of operation concerns. Trustees will review previous conditions placed on the property.

FIRE REPORT
There was discussion about whether an occupancy certificate should be issued to the proposed restaurant Hue Bahn Mi and Pho Cafe due to the lack of verification of fire safety equipment.

OLD BUSINESS
A resolution was approved by all trustees authorizing payment to the county engineer's office for the final engineering and design costs associated with Hudson Road phase V.

A resolution was approved by all trustees to enter into a cooperative agreement with the City of Kent for design and project costs associated with Hudson Road phase V.

FINANCES
A resolution was approved by all trustees authorizing the transfer of funds from the JEDD fund to the Hudson Road fund for payment of engineering and design costs for Hudson Road phase IV.

Payment of bills totally $110, 290.36 was approved by all trustees
