Field Local School Board of Education

Meeting Summary:

The meeting started at 7:00pm, beginning with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a short Silent Meditation. Roll Call was taken for the approval of the Field Local Board of Education's November 18, 2024, meeting minutes, followed by the adoption of the agenda for the January 13, 2025, meeting.

The student representative reported on the success of the soccer team, the girls' basketball team, and a field trip to Children's Hospital scheduled for February.

There was a discussion about HB8 being passed, "Parents Bill of Rights," mentioning religious time for religious instruction and materials used with students. The board agreed they had already followed the requirements of the bill. The board feels there will not be any issues.

All Superintendent Items under the headings of Employment, Resignations,
Resignations /Transfers, Leave of Absence, Board Policy, Supplemental Contracts(s), Athletic/Academic,O perational/Vendor Contracts, Payment/Fiscal Items, and Informational Items were unanimously approved by the Field Local Schools Board of Education

The Field Local Schools Board unanimously approved all items presented in the Treasurer Consent Agenda for Education.

The meeting adjourned at 7:11 pm.

The following members of the board/council were present: Todd Carpenter, Steve Calcei Larry Stewart, Randy Porter, William Evans, Matt Slaven. Superintendent, Mr. Heflinger was not feeling well and did not attend the meeting.
