Date of Meeting: 11/8/2022

Format: In-person

Meeting Summary:

Jill Grimm, representing the Twin Lakes Association, relayed the following information:
The association appreciates notification of the dry hydrant testing and will plow the private lagoon area to make sure the hydrant there is provided if needed. Also, she reported there was confusion about the signage related to leaf pick-up; residents assumed all pick-up would be on Sunday rather than the week beginning Sunday.

A resident of Hudson Rd. asked for more information about phase V of Hudson Rd. changes. Mr. Swan replied that he will contact the engineer's office and relay any information received to the resident and also put it on the township website.

Chief Myers reported that the dry hydrant testing is in progress and going well.

FIRE REPORT:
Inspections continue. Sprinkler and alarm issues are being addressed at Pebblebrook Estates and Meadowview Plaza. The county building department and representatives of the fire department and the Burnt Pickle met to discuss modifications necessary to change its designation from mercantile to assembly for occupancy. Also, preliminary plans for a new development going in at the former Kent State golf course property were sent from the fire department to the building department. The first submission did not provide for an adequate turning radius for the ladder truck.

ROAD REPORT
The chipper has been repaired and is working well. The motrim has broken down and repairs will cost around $7,000. There was also discussion of a new hot water tank for the shop. A new generator is also being considered; both purchases may be made with NOPEC funds.
