Meeting Summary:

This meeting was called for the purpose of certifying two candidates for House District 72 of the current (third new) version of state legislative maps, as directed by the Ohio Secretary of State. Candidates Kathleen Clyde and Gail Pavliga were certified by a unanimous vote. Other candidates whose districts include all or part of Portage County will be certified by other counties where the number of their constituents is higher. The meeting lasted less than five minutes.
Further information shared after the meeting was that the board has updated programming to reflect the new maps. In some cases, these maps have resulted in up to four splits within some precincts.
