Meeting Summary:

The board approved the minutes of the April 8, 2025 meeting. Logic and accuracy testing of equipment for the May 6, 2025, primary/special election was performed, and all was in order.

Ms. Clites provided a brief update on the OAEO legislative committee. A meeting is scheduled this afternoon, and the agenda indicates that they are going to discuss the
proposed elimination of the Ohio Election Commission, Senate Bill 153, and residency requirements for directors of Boards of Elections.

The 2026 Budget was presented to the Board, and the increases were explained. AA 
discussion took place regarding staff pay not keeping up with COLA. The board voted to submit 5% pay increases for full-time staff and bonuses of 2%. A motion was made to participate in the wage study, which would involve preparing job descriptions as discussed. The motion was tabled due to concerns that staff would end up worse off than they would have been without participating in the wage study.

The board approved the Director and Deputy Director to attend the Northeast Regional Meeting on August 8, 2025. Ben Tipton's late filing (1 hour, 32 minutes) of his pre-primary financial report was referred to the Ohio Election Commission. The board recessed until the election on May 6th.
