Meeting Summary:

There was a discussion about using existing funds to provide bonuses to BOE staff for exemplary service. The May 2 primary was officially certified with a 14.01% voter turnout. Post-election certification testing showed 100% accuracy.

There were no automatic recounts for Portage County. A post-election audit will be conducted on June 1, 8:30 a.m. This will be by selected precincts, including these three races: Ravenna Schools, Waterloo Local Schools, and Shalersville/Mantua fire department. The audit will conclude on June 15, and results will be shared on June 18.

Under new election laws, the Board must meet eight days after the August 8 election to review provisional and absentee ballots. That will be on August 16, 2023.
