Meeting Summary:

The board approved all vouchers presented, 7265 through 7275.

Director Lyons report that the results of the hand count post-election audit of precincts randomly selected by board were 100% accuracy / 0% errors.

Deputy Director Nielsen presented a proposed 2023 budget, which will be sent to the county commissioners. The discussion focused on the pay raise for staff and the desire to keep the staff in parity with inflation. They were in parity until last year when they were in arrears by 2.9%. Ms. Suffacool commented 2023 inflation is projected between 9.3% and 10.1%. A 4% pay raise for election workers (full-time part-time employees, election technical and election worker employees, not poll workers) was proposed. The proposed 2023 budget, which included a recommendation of a 9% raise for staff and a 4% pay raise for election workers (not including poll workers) and a statement that projected inflation had been researched, was approved to be forwarded to the commissioners.

The annual review of the security plan was accepted as written.
