Thinking you might want to help register voters? Has it been a long time since you registered voters, and you want to do it again but feel a little rusty? Come early at 6 p.m. to the July 19 All Member Meeting for training at Kent Social Services.

Welcoming all members to the 2022 Annual Meeting of the League of Women Voters of Kent. We'll talk about positions, bylaws, budget and our direction forward in advocacy for the 2022-2023 program year. Our speaker is Lynn Vogel, stormwater educator for the Portage Soil & Water Conservation District.

Nationally, April is recognized as Fair Housing Month, yet Northeast Ohio remains one of the most racially segregated regions in the country. This is in large part the legacy of decades of policies including redlining and exclusionary zoning that limited people’s housing choices based on race and income. Join us as we discuss how we got here and how we can make our communities more diverse and inclusive so that our region can thrive economically in the future.
