Larry Krasner, Philly District Attorney, former criminal defense & civil rights lawyer talks about reimagining justice and power.

About this event

Pennsylvania locks up a higher percentage of people than almost any democracy on earth. We all want a reliable and equitable justice system, however, since 1999, there have been over one hundred exonerations in Pennsylvania alone, including ten from death row. Most Americans believe our criminal-justice system is unreliable and risks executing innocent people. There are 112 people, more than half people of color, sitting on death row waiting to die. Until we abolish the death penalty, no one is safe. The burden rests with Pennsylvania voters. People in the City of Brotherly Love and across the country are using their power to redefine our criminal legal system.

For the People with Larry Krasner offers a rare opportunity to see inside our criminal justice system and examine the risks the death penalty poses to us all. Larry Krasner is currently serving as the twenty-sixth district attorney of Philadelphia.
