The Oak Ridge League of Women Voters has invited State Senators Randy McNally and Ken Yager, and Representatives John Ragan and Kent Calfee to meet with the public at a “Breakfast with the Legislators”. The legislators will speak about the legislative outlook for this session of the Tennessee General Assembly, and respond to questions and hear opinions from the audience. The public is invited to attend and a free continental breakfast will be served.
The popular community event offers firsthand information on upcoming legislation and House and Senate committee activities, while prompting dialogue among legislators and citizens, and providing a great networking opportunity for members of the community.
The next 2020 Breakfast with the Legislators will be held at the same time and place on Monday, April 27, if the General Assembly is in session. If the Oak Ridge schools are closed due to inclement weather, Breakfast with the Legislators will be cancelled.
The League of Women Voters of Oak Ridge, a nonpartisan political organization for men and women, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
