On Tuesday, December 6, the League of Women Voters of Oak Ridge will host Marian Wildgruber discussing her work with the Mobility Justice Working Group and the new Disability Advisory Board for the City of Oak Ridge. Her topics will include outreach, priorities, paratransit, and sidewalk/crosswalk infrastructure.

This event will be held at 12:00 p.m. EST in person at the Oak Ridge Unitarian Church Social Hall. It will also be available via Zoom. A link for Zoom access will be distributed later. Please bring your own lunch to the Dec. 6 sessions. Lunches from The Soup Kitchen will be available beginning in 2023.

Marian Wildgruber grew up in Seattle and got her BA in English at the University of Washington. She worked for the US Forest Service for 12 years in Washington, Oregon, California and Washington, DC, during which time she got her Master’s in Public Administration. She married and moved to Munich, Germany for seven years, and stayed home raising her two sons. The family moved to Oak Ridge in 2006. Marian was very active in school and church and volunteer work, and for the past three years has started spending her time and energy on disability advocacy. She is currently Chair of the new Disability Advisory Board in Oak Ridge and has started a Low Vision Resource Group for Oak Ridge and surrounding communities.
