Our Lunch with the League event (available in person and virtually via Zoom), will be held at 12:00 PM EST at the Unitarian Universalist Church Social Hall in Oak Ridge.

A lunch from The Soup Kitchen will be available for purchase or bring your own lunch. Coffee and tea will be provided.

Wade Creswell’s interest in Roane County has deep roots. He is a graduate of Roane County High School, Roane County Community College, and East Tennessee State University. Mr. Creswell also earned his MBA from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Mr. Creswell has spent many years giving back to his community. He started with service as a Registered Nurse at Roane Medical Center. After earning his MBA, he served as a Vice President of the Michael Dunn Center. He also served as President and CEO of the Roane Alliance recruiting large industrial projects and hundreds of jobs for the county.

As a dedicated builder of coalitions and strategic leader solving mutual problems, he has served as President or CEO of numerous Roane County organizations.

As the recently elected Roane County Executive, he is responsible for developing and maintaining responsible fiscal management and economic growth; being a key partner with Director of Schools and County Commission to bring the best educational opportunities to students; and directing the numerous departments within the Roane County government.

The League welcomes members and nonmembers alike to all of its first and third Tuesday Lunch with the League gatherings.

Several days after each event, attendees may view the recorded session on the League’s website (https://my.lwv.org/tennessee/oak-ridge).
