LOS ANGELES, CA, April 13, 2014: The League of Women Voters of Los Angeles Education Fund, the League of Women Voters Los Angeles County and ONEgeneration will co-host a forum for all candidates contending for the Office of Sheriff in the June 3rd primary. All seven candidates have been invited to participate in a moderated forum of one hour and forty–five minutes, which is free to the public. There will be additional time to meet with the candidates after the forum.

In response to a request from the Los Angeles City Ethics Commission for public feedback on the City's matching funds program, the League has urged the Commission to support Instant Runoff Voting for single winner elections.

Voters will have the opportunity to hear the candidates speak on the issues at two League hosted candidate forums. On May 10th, in collaboration with the Pat Brown Institute and KABC7, we will be hosting a L.A. Mayoral Runoff Election Candidate Forum on the California State University of Los Angeles campus.
