Save the Date! 

Illuminate 2026 will be held Thursday, March 19, from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Eureka Theater.

Organized by Access Humboldt and co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Humboldt County, Illuminate will highlight Sunshine Week with Ray of Sunshine awards, “Sunnies,” given out to three local reporters chosen by the boards of Access Humboldt and the League. Awards will go to the best journalist, best photojournalist, and best youth journalist.

The event is free and catered, with wine and beer available for purchase.

Sunshine Week, March 15-21, is a time to celebrate the media’s essential role in supporting good governance and promoting civic participation and to honor our media for the important role it plays.
