As we write this, thousands of election workers are still hard at work counting and processing votes. One hundred million voters took advantage of the early voting options - more than any other time in history! In the days ahead, as election officials count every ballot & certify each election, we are confident the will of the people will be the winner.
Leagues around the country will continue to ensure that every vote gets counted.
We want to take time and thank you for strengthening democracy! Our members responded to our call to action and spoke at over 70 ballot measure speaking engagements, organized 11 local candidate forums and wrote to thousands of voters as part of our postcard campaign. Our website received over 200K visits during the most critical weeks.
We have so much to be celebratory about. Please take some time for self-care and continue to stay engaged.
Democracy takes work (we did it by voting) and now it deserves our patience.
