Join us for this informational and important forum brought to you by the Committee on Criminal Justice Reform.

Little is understood about the impact of the District Attorney on incarceration and sentencing. This forum presents varied expertise on the effects of policing on low-income communities, especially those of color; how District Attorneys have fostered “tough on crime” policies; and how some District Attoreys are adopting dramatically different policies.

Panelists include:

* Jody Armour, USC School of Law

* Miriam Krinsky, https://fairandjustprosecution.org

* Michael Saavedra, Youth Justice Coalition

* Alicia Virani, UCLA School of Law

* Ellie Virrueta, Youth Justice Coalition
