Finance/Budget Committee Report to LWV-PA Membership

Type:
News

The Finance/Budget Committee has been working diligently throughout the year to inform our Board of the financial status of LWV-PA. Our organization, through continued donation support from our members—not only through payment of dues but also from generous estate bequests—has allowed our League to stay on very stable financial footing through these last two years of the COVID-19 pandemic. Adjustments to the methods we used to continue our major focus, providing voter services and advocacy to all San Gabriel Valley residents in our thirteen area cities, has also helped LWV-PA to maintain sound fiscal practices.

Our committee has been busy preparing a proposed budget for the next fiscal year, 2022–2023. The “Proposed LWV-PA 2022–2023 Budget”  is included in this issue of the Voter. Please take the opportunity to review this budget before our June 18 Annual Members Meeting and be prepared with questions and comments, if you have any.

I would like to acknowledge the Finance/Budget Committee members, Joe Des Barres, Marilynne Wilander, Katherine Gavzy, and Samantha Robles Grande (our newest member), who have spent many volunteer hours completing the work our League depends on our committee to perform. Thank you for your participation.

—Mildred Dockery, Chair, Finance/Budget Committee
