On October 11, 2023, the LWVUS issued the following statement:

“The League of Women Voters stands in solidarity with the Israeli and Palestinian people impacted by the ongoing violence in Israel and Gaza. The human rights violations committed against women and children are inhumane and must not continue.

“Today, October 11, is the International Day of the Girl Child. . . .

How can we restore public trust in our elections? How do we move forward in an environment of polarization and disinformation? These questions and others were explored at the 9/19 LWV/NICD Networks event by a panel of five innovators in the field of Civic Engagement, including our own Janet Hoy.

LWVDV received a request from LWVC Criminal Justice interest groups to do targeted in-district lobbying for SB 94 Sentencing Reform.
