Mahalo nui loa to these volunteers for their work on the Waikoloa Village Association vote count and annual meeting on May 10 and 11, respectively, and for braving the stormy weather:  Kit Afable, Brad Clark, Sue Irvine, Iris Fujii, Marva Furmidge, Helen Hemmes, Diane Herrera, Sue Dursin, Bob Morrison, Carolyn Murray, Ruth Robison and Joanna Savage.

League got a "shout out" before the board meeting, which was after the brief (a record 20 minutes!) annual meeting. Many personally thanked the League for our work, recognizing that we are all volunteers.

Heartfelt thanks to our Friday vote count group for your patience. We are learning how to integrate online voting and paper ballots/proxies. Proxies are taking more time than ballot counting.  There were 414 paper ballots (two invalid) and 364 paper proxies.

Online voting counts the number of votes, not ballots. There were 703 valid votes cast online and 296 online proxies.

Other data -- Waikoloa has:

- 3,226 total membership

- 2,691 were in good standing when elections opened

- 871 registered for online voting as of 4/7/24, a significant increase from last year (less than 400)
