Do you need help with running a fair and accurate election?
The League helps Community Associations, Unions & Clubs as a community service that aligns with our mission and as a fund raiser.
The LWV of Hawai'i County first got involved in conducting elections and vote counting in the 1970's, when Judge Shunichi Kimura of the 3rd Circuit Court requested the league's help with a community association's election. Judge Kimura knew the League's reputation as a non-partisan organization involved in election reform. Since then, following our proprietary Guide, the League has helped numerous Big Island organizations conduct elections and count votes fairly and accurately.
The League and its volunteers travel island-wide for meetings, candidate forums, elections, and vote counts.
Costs for services are negotiated based on the client's specific needs and the number of voters. For more information, call (808) 933-8683 or write lwvhawaiicty [at] gmail.com.
Testimonials
Eileen O'Hara, Hawaiian Shores Community Association:
Having LWV involved in our Home Owner Association (HOA) elections at Hawaiian Shores Community Assn. allowed the organization to overcome very negative infighting and finger pointing and get to a functional governance. I wish more HOA in Puna used the services of the LWV!
