Please join the League of Women Voters of Hawai‘i County and guest speaker State Representative Chris Todd, who will dig into the physical and organizational infrastructure of Hilo schools and share his commitment to support youth.

Representative Chris Todd of House District 2 (Keaukaha, parts of Hilo, Pana‘ewa and Waiakea) serves as the Vice Chair of the House Committee on Water, Land, & Hawaiian Affairs, and as a member of the Committees on Finance and Energy & Environmental Protection.

Born and raised in Hilo, Hawai’i, he is a graduate of the University of Hawai’i, Hilo, with a degree in economics and political science. Representative Todd held several positions at Suisan Fish Market before becoming distribution manager for Hawai’i Paper Products in 2016, and was appointed to serve as the Representative from the Second House District on January 5, 2017 by Governor David Ige.

Of his role in the legislature, Representative Todd is “grateful for this opportunity to serve my community.” He is deeply committed to supporting local families through his work, and creating pathways for youth to reach their professional and personal dreams.
