The next general meeting of the League of Women Voters of Hawai`i County will be held in person and via Zoom on Friday, November 5, 2022, 10:00 a.m., at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Puna.

Hawaii has one of the most modern elections system: early voting, automatic and online voter registration, Election Day voter registration, ballot tracking, and voting by mail and in-person. Yet not unlike on the mainland, there is voter mistrust, election challenges, threats being made against election officials, and calls to undo Hawai’i’s election progress and return to one-day voting on paper ballots. What has been the impact on our elections by the transition to mail-in voting? How can citizens and League members support our Hawai’i County election officials or help to secure our elections?

Join us for a talk by Jon Henricks, Hawai`i County Clerk, on “Voting in the New Era of Elections by Mail.”
