Who We Are. What We Do.

 

 

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government. League influences public policy through education and advocacy.  The Highland Park League was founded in 1928.  The league was expanded to include Highwood in 2011.

2025 LWV US FEDERAL JUDICIARY STUDY

ALONG WITH THE LEAGUES OF DEERFIELD AREA, GRAYSLAKE, ROUND LAKES AND WAUKEGAN, AND LAKE COUNTY OUR LEAGUE WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN THE  2025 LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS US FEDERAL JUDICIARY STUDY.  

A LEAGUE POSITION IS REQUIRED FOR LEAGUE ACTION.  CONSENSUS MEETINGS WILL BE HELD BY LEAGUE MEMBERS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY. AND OUR LEAGUE'S RESULTS WILL BE SUBMITTED TO LWVUS AFTER OUR CONSENSUS MEETING.

The League of Women Voters of Highland Park has been a part of Highland Park, since 1928.  In 2011 our League voted to change the name to League of Women Voters of Highland Park-Highwood.  Our two communities are interconnected in many ways, including both school districts and various community agencies.  We welcome new members from both communities.
