Youth League members represented at Rose Ambassador Scholarship Event

Rose Ambassador Scholarship Event

The annual Rose Ambassador Scholarship Event on February 13 featured three founding members of the League of Women Voters Roselle-Bloomingdale Area Youth League. Suri Kothari received the League of Women Voters Roselle-Bloomingdale Area Civic Leadership Scholarship Award! We also celebrate Nicole Angel, recipient of the Standing for the Future Award, and Sajani Achanta, who earned 2nd runner-up overall and the Scholarship Achievement Award (highest GPA among competitors).

These young women competed in talent presentations, professional and formal wear, and interviews with Roselle Mayor David Pileski — demonstrating confidence, character, leadership, and an inspiring commitment to service. Because of them and their leadership within the Youth League, more Lake Park students have become engaged in civic life. As Suri, Nicole, and Sajani graduate, we’re looking for the next group of high school leaders to step forward!
Lake Park students can join the Youth League!

Membership is just $20, and scholarships are available, so cost is never a barrier. If you know a student at Lake Park who cares about democracy, leadership, community service, civic engagement — and making a real difference — encourage them to join the Youth League.
