We're so pleased that you are interested in the LWV of Roselle-Bloomingdale Area, a nonpartisan, grassroots nonprofit working to protect and expand voting rights and ensure that everyone is represented in our democracy. We empower voters and defend democracy through advocacy, education, and litigation at the local, state, and national levels.
Right from the start, we want you to know that you are our greatest asset. Your membership matters because you matter — your voice, presence, and support of the League’s mission to empower voters and defend democracy.
Membership is open to anyone 16 and older, starting at just $20/year.
As a member you'll:
- Support voter education and community outreach
- Engage on issues, not party politics
- Connect with neighbors who care about democracy
Your dues are shared between our local, state, and national Leagues.

Want to give a little extra? You can make an additional contribution directly to our local League. Note it when registering online, or include a separate check payable to LWVRB if joining by mail.
About Your Dues
We use a "pay-what-you-can" model. The suggested amount is $75, but you can pay as little as $20. Your payment is split automatically — 20% to our local League, 47% to the state, and 33% to LWVUS — so you may see three separate charges on your statement.
Memberships last one year from your last renewal. You'll receive email reminders and can opt to auto-renew.
Participation — YOUR WAY
There is no required level of involvement. Some of our 60+ members (both women and men) dive into League work right away. Others participate occasionally, coming to member meetings or attending events. Some support the League primarily by contributing funds or paying dues — and all of these activities are invaluable.
The League is an all-volunteer member-led organization, and we are always interested in hearing from those who may want to serve in volunteer roles: as project volunteers, committee members, and ultimately in Board leadership.
