League of Women Voters of Roselle-Bloomingdale hosts this discussion in conjunction with the Lake Park Reads Community Event.
This event encourages the public to join in reading A Most Beautiful Thing: The True Story of America's First All-Black High School Rowing Team by Arshay Cooper as part of Lake Park Reads, a multi-community reading event. This is the moving, true story of a group of young men growing up on Chicago's West side who form the first all-Black high school rowing team in the nation.
An in person discussion will also be held on Saturday, April 23, from 10 am to 11 am at the Roselle Public Library, 40 Park St, Roselle. To register for this event: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/278390081227
