Voter Registration event Tuesday at Civil Rights Heritage Center

SOUTH BEND — Area citizens may register to vote from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday during a National Voter Registration Day event at the Civil Rights Heritage Center, 1040 W. Washington St.
Volunteers will be available to help with new registrations, or to make name or address changes for those already registered to vote.
In Indiana, Oct. 9 is the deadline to register in order to vote in the Nov. 6 general election.
The event also will feature civic, academic and student leaders speaking about voting and citizenship. Refreshments will be served.
The event is hosted by the League of Women Voters of the South Bend area, students from ND Votes at the University of Notre Dame and Civic Duty South Bend.
