Join us on Women's Equality Day to celebrate 12 women who have shaped and enriched South Bend's history.
This annual educational exhibit celebrates women who have blazed new trails, have been relentless advocates, have guided the community through change, have supported the arts and other cultural assets, or have dedicated their lives to caring for or educating others. The exhibit highlights both women whose leadership is widely recognized and those who have lead quietly behind the scenes. All have changed the course of our community. Celebrating Michiana Women Leaders aims to build the historical record of local women who have shaped our community. This annual event and exhibition is a partnership between the League of Women Voters of the South Bend Area, The Michiana Women Leaders Project, and The Civil Rights Heritage Center.
View the exhibit, enjoy light refreshments, and attend a short program.
