Lunch with the League welcomes Jim Williams, President & CEO of Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County from noon to 1 pm Friday, June 8 at the South Bend Chocolate Café, 122 S. Michigan St., South Bend.
He will talk about the 2018 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project set to take place Aug. 26-31, here in St. Joseph County. Since 1984, the Carters have championed affordable, decent housing for all, donating their time and leadership each year to build and improve homes in 14 countries. Under Williams' leadership, the local Habitat for Humanity received the Community Foundation's 2015 Leighton Award for Non-profit Excellence and was named an Affiliate of Distinction by Habitat International.
Jim has an MBA from Regent University with a concentration in Nonprofit Management and completed Harvard University's "Strategic Perspectives in Non-profit Management" Executive Education Program.
