Kathy Schneider, executive director of St. Margaret’s House, will speak at our upcoming Lunch with the League on Friday, August 10, from noon to 1 pm at the Chocolate Café in downtown South Bend. 

Kathy holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Divinity degree from the University of Notre Dame. Before coming to St. Margaret’s House, she worked in parish ministry in New York City and served with the Sisters of the Holy Cross as a lay associate in their missions in Washington DC, Texas, and Brazil. 

She will discuss how building community is essential to helping women who struggle with poverty. Kathy will also speak about how the culture at St. Margaret’s House is transformative for everyone including staff, volunteers, guests, and donors. This event is free and open to the public, and you may arrive early to purchase lunch before the talk.
