Linda Jung-Zimmerman, Assistant Director of the Upper Room Recovery Community, will be the Lunch with the League speaker from noon to 1 pm on Friday, Feb. 8 at the Chocolate Café, 122 N. Michigan St., South Bend.

Her talk, titled “A Brand New Ending,” will focus on the scale of the local and national substance abuse epidemic, the gap in care for recovering women in our area, and how the Upper Room is expanding to provide recovery housing to address the need in our community. 

Jung-Zimmerman, who holds both Masters of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees, has previously served as executive director of the Advocacy Centers, Stone Soup Community, Maria Center and as director of mission integration for the Poor Handmaidens of Jesus Christ Ministries. The event is free and open to the public;  arrive early and you can purchase lunch at the café.
