Presented by Dr. Susan Ravencroft. Government run lotteries began in the 1960's and now all but five states have state-run lotteries. Dr. Ravenscroft will discuss how and why this phenomenon spread so quickly and if lotteries have fulfilled the budgetary relief that was projected. The discussion will include the pros and cons of government-run lotteries. Who is the "average" lottery player and what are the societal consequences of lotteries?
This even will be live-streamed on Facebook.
