LWVMA has been fighting to disentangle ICE and local law enforcement via the Safe Communities Act for three legislative sessions. 

How can LWVMA members protect immigrants’ rights here in the Commonwealth? 

• We need to enact protections for our undocumented friends and neighbors this session.
• Join us on Monday, June 21 at 7:00 PM via Zoom to learn more about the Safe Communities Act, the Work and Family Mobility Act, and the Fairness to Farmworkers Act, among other bills.
• We will hear from a panel of affected community members, review the bills in more detail, and outline concrete action steps you can take to contact your state legislators.
