About Student- Led Civics Projects

Student-led Civics Projects became a formalized portion of the Massachusetts curriculum in 2018 through state law, requiring that schools make available student-led civics projects in Grade 8 and in at least one additional opportunity in Grades 9-12.

Materials for Students Developed by League of Women Voters of Marblehead

• Marblehead Student Advocacy Guide – This guide was created to show how to influence government at different levels, from local to state.

• Marblehead Student Advocacy Guide Appendix -The appendix contains sample letters and Op-Eds that have been published in newspapers to use as examples and models.
