Webinar: Women of Color and the Struggle for Suffrage -- October 12, 7-8 pm

100 years of Women's Suffrage & the Women of Color
Monday, October 12, 2020 - 7:00pm to Tuesday, October 13, 2020 - 7:45pm

Did you know that only white women got the vote 100 years ago? What about everyone else? Join the Marblehead League of Women Voters on Indigenous Peoples' Day, October, 12 at 7pm to learn about the heroes of the Suffrage Movement who were left out of history. We will introduce you to 6 women of color who worked hard to bring all women the vote. The uniqueness of our times today has brought to light many injustices and inequalities. The LWV is examining these injustices and is taking responsibility for its past actions by promoting awareness of the many unsung heroes of the time.
