The League of Women Voters Leelanau County is proud to announce our next forum entitled "Election 2020 - Voting Rights Reform in Action".  Our featured speaker is Christopher Thomas, Michigan's recently retired Elections Director.  Mr. Thomas chairs the 22-member Election Modernization Advisory Committee to advance election reform, established by Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson.  He is also a fellow at the Bipartisan Policy Center, a Washington, D.C.-based think tank that combines ideas from both Republican and Democratic parties to address our nation's key challenges. Mr. Thomas will discuss implications of recent voting reforms and how these support voters.
