Position

The general aim of League positions in the area of government financing through the years has been toward support of tax revenues based on need and the total tax burden.

We support regulatory policies for solid waste management.

The League believes that everyone should have access to health care, including care for mental illness and substance use disorders.

Public Statement

Los Angeles, CA – The League of Women Voters of Los Angeles will host two free regional meetings in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley on the Affordable Care Act: What's Happening Now to California's Health Care System? The events will feature special guest speakers from Insure the Uninsured Project. Together we will examine the changes occurring in health care, including how to access the Exchange-Covered California.
