The Committee plans to partner with other local organizations with similar goals, such as REACH (promotes alternative energy sources), Sustainable Hingham, Hingham Long Range Waste Disposal Committee and Old Ship Church.
LWV Hingham Green Building Study
Energy efficiency, sustainable design, conservation and renewable energy are just a few of the phrases that speak to building green and sustainability. Green building has become increasingly important over the last few decades. Last Spring, the League of Women Voters of Hingham completed a Study of Green Building, which was presented at the LWV Hingham's Annual Meeting in 2006. Consensus was met and a position was created for the LWV Hingham's Local Program.
