Our urgent need for equitable access to health care has never been more powerful than it is right now. As you read this, crises in health care due to the Covid-19 pandemic continue to spread.

The League of Women Voters believes that all South Carolinians should have affordable access to a basic level of quality health care that includes behavioral health care and reproductive health care, but the reality is that this remains out of reach for many.

Public Health Department Study & Advocacy

The League of Women Voters within Delaware County PA advocated and studied for decades the need to establish a health department for our county that would be on the front line of public health for the benefit of Delaware County communities. The League of Women Voters of Delaware County is gratified to announce that our advocacy has helped to bring about the establishment of the Delaware County Health Department.
