Local Government

Local Government

We support measures to further good government through the support of non-partisanship in local government and the support of legislation which permits increased flexibility in California State law governing general law counties.

The League of Women Voters takes action on issues only when we have a position addressing that particular issue.  Members must study and come to consensus on an issue in order to form a position. This thorough grassroots process ensures that we have a sense of the political environment.
