The Election Assistance Commission (EAC) is considering a petition asking it to initiate a process that would add documentary proof of citizenship to the federal voter registration form.
The League of Women Voters of the Cooperstown Area will holda Candidates’ Forumfor town ofices for the Toewn of Hartwick on Wednesday, October 22 7 p.m.–9 p.m. at the Clark Sports Center Community Room, 1124 County Route 52, Cooperstown.

The federal Election Assistance Commission is asking the public to submit comments on whether proof of citizenship should be required before people can register to vote or change their voter registration.
The League of Women Voters of the Cooperstown Area will hold two Candidates’ Forums this fall in advance of Election Day, November 4, 2025. The forums will feature candidates for town officials in Hartwick and Milford.
