North Carolina remains one of the country’s most closely watched political battlegrounds. Its growing cities, changing demographics, and sharp urban-rural divides make the state a revealing place to examine the forces shaping American politics.

During this special live event, Meghna Chakrabarti and her guests will look beyond the horse race to consider what North Carolina’s voters can tell us about the political forces shaping the country.

The conversation will explore the state’s role in the 2026 midterms, the issues motivating North Carolina voters, and what the results may or may not suggest about the 2028 general election.
