While there are many things happening on the housing front in the state legislature, one really important thing is taking place at the local level. Every city in our service area will have to update its housing element in the next year.
We support a regional housing plan that is part of the broader comprehensive regional plan. We also support federal and state legislation that facilitates the implementation of regional housing goals.
We are truly a grassroots organization... The League of Women Voters takes action on an issue or advocates for a cause when there is an existing League position that supports the issue or speaks to the cause.
