Position

LWV Spokane supports housing programs within Spokane County which contribute to a substantial increase in the supply of standard housing of low and moderate cost and are part of a comprehensive overall plan.

The LWVRI upholds the LWVUS Statement of Position on Gun Policy as adopted by 1990 Convention and amended by the 1994 and 1998 Conventions:.

LWVUS Public Policy on Reproductive Rights

(For Complete position: Impact on Issues, pg. 57) The League's Position Statement of Position on Public Policy on Reproductive Rights, as announced by the National Board, January 1983:
The League of Women Voters of the United States believes that public policy in a pluralistic society must affirm the constitutional right of privacy of the individual to make reproductive choices.

LWVRI Position on Funding Public Education in Rhode Island

Adopted at Convention 2001

The League of Women Voters of Rhode Island believes that any method of financing public education should provide equality of opportunity for education through a system of taxation that is sufficient, equitable, flexible and coordinated among the different levels of government.
