We are at the forefront of the most important federal and state voting rights cases around the country. We actively oppose discriminatory voter photo ID laws, fight against attacks voter registration process and hold lawmakers accountable when they try to institute last-minute Election Day barriers. We work year-round to combat voter suppression through advocacy, grassroots organizing, legal action and public education.

The League of Women Voters of the United States believes that voting is a fundamental citizen right that must be guaranteed (LWVUS Position March 1982). Current issues are: Expanding Voter Access, Redistricting, Money in Politics, and Fighting Voter

Participate in local government.  Your opinion matters!  Fill out the budget survey for your views on the DuPage County Board budget.  It's important for you to take the DuPage County budget survey for FY2021, which begins Dec. 1. Each year, the DuPage County Board asks residents to provide their thoughts pertaining to County programs and spending priorities. The information helps shape next year’s budget,  determining spending levels for County’s various programs.

The program featured four speakers with expertise in elections. Jennifer Wilson, deputy director for the League of Women Voters of New York, discussed the view from Albany.

VOTE411 is the League's on-line, non-partisan Voter Guide is available now for the August 8, 2023 election.  The only election in our service area is the Westland Mayoral Primary.  Five candidates are running, and the two with the highest vote totals will advance to the November election.  Check out VOTE411 to see non-partisan information about the candidates..
