The Women’s Club of Delaware County will hold its First Year Anniversary/Awards Dinner Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM at the Banquet Room of the Royal Diner, 106 E Baltimore Ave, Lansdowne PA.

The mission of the Women’s Club of Delaware County is to enhance the lives of other's through volunteer service, create positive change in communities, advocate for victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence, promote, education, healthy lifestyles, and civic involvement, supports the arts and preserve natural resources, work toward peace and understanding.

The awardees are being recognized for their contributions to their communities. Our League of Women Voters (LWV) of Central Delaware County (CDC) is being honored for our work and mission to Empower Voters and Defend Democracy and accepting the award is Anne Mosakowski, President.

Madison Steele from the National Constitution Center will begin with voting practices in colonial America and then trace the story through our nation's constitutional history. Calling all League members, you are invited to go to Harrisburg Wednesday, May 6, 2026 to lobby our local legislators. The League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania (LWVPA) will give you, the T-shirt, the talking points, a lunch voucher and the map of Pennsylvania's stunningly ornate capitol. It's worth the trip just to see it.

Legislative Advocate Jodine Mayberry will make appointments with four legislators to visit and will arrange transportation.

International Relations

The International Relations Study Group of the League of Women Voters of Central Delaware County has been active for years studying different countries meeting monthly on the second Tuesday at 12:30 pm. To generate discussion the group uses the Great Decisions Briefing Book resources put out by the Foreign Policy Association.

On May 12, 2026 the discussion will be a review of Chapter 3 of 2026 Great Decisions titled The End of an Era: Trump Tariffs in Historical Perspective.
