Join the League of Women Voters and the National Institute for Civil Discourse in a session to learn how to evaluate our values and then act from those values, while understanding the importance of small, intentional actions inside our circles of influence to create ripples. The session will include interactive breakout opportunities and learning on how to use a tool that can help us face the challenges of division in our politics today.

The League of Women Voters (LWV) of the United States is conducting a study of the Federal Judiciary System to develop a LWV position on the Federal Judiciary as an essential component of US democracy. On Friday, February 21, 2025 at Noon via Zoom the LWV of Central Delaware County will share with our members an overview of the study and how you can get involved in coming to consensus on the study questions.

The International Relations Study Group of the League of Women Voters of Central Delaware County has been active for years studying different countries meeting monthly on the second Tuesday at 12:30 pm. To generate discussion the group uses the Great Decisions Briefing Book resources put out by the Foreign Policy Association. This month the discussion will be an overview of the Great Decisions topics and the order of study.

The Commemoration will be followed by a Community Dinner to be held downstairs in Fellowship Hall from 4:30-6:00 PM.

In tribute to Dr. King's enduring legacy and his unwavering commitment to a world free of injustice, this year's commemoration will emphasize the importance of drawing lessons from our past to shape a more resilient future.

Lunar New Year Haverford

Join League of Women Voters members as we share voting information at the Lunar New Year Celebration to be held on Saturday, January 25th from Noon to 2 p.m. at the Main Line Art Center, 746 Panmure Rd, Haverford, PA.

The Year of the Snake will be ushered in at the event. There will be hands-on art activities for all ages and an outdoor performance of the iconic Lion Dance by the Philadelphia Suns. The Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu Academy will also provide a martial arts demonstration.

The event is FREE but registration is required.
