Be an Election Observer!

In the coming weeks, members of the public may observe various activities as the Orange County Registrar of Voters (OC ROV) conducts the June 7, 2022 Primary Election.
Observations may be in person, subject to limitations of space, equipment constraints, and applicable safety precautions, including some Covid19 safety precautions.

Starting May 10, 2022: Observe the processing of completed ballots at the office of the OC Registrar of Voters (OC ROV).

Starting May 17, 2022: Observe the scanning of Vote-by-Mail ballots, also at the office of the OC ROV. Note that staff may not access or release a vote count until the polls close on Election Day, June 7, 2022.

Starting May 28, 2022: Observe the operations of Vote Centers – 43 of which will open on May 28th!
The office of the Orange County Registrar of Voters is located at:

Observers must check-in at the front desk. There are lots of rules for observing and they must be followed – if you violate the rules
you may cause problems and could even be asked to leave.
Do not even consider Observing without first studying the OC ROV’s Election Observer Guidelines and the Election Observer Guidelines Handbook.
There are also options for observing online via livestream from the office of the Orange County Registrar of Voters.
