Climate Interest Group

Mission:

Establish an on-going viable group of members who monitor climate policy issues and provide education/advocacy leadership on that issue.

How We Accomplish Our Mission:

• Become familiar with League's existing state and national climate positions.
• Respond to alerts from state and national Leagues related to climate.
• Learn about climate work in progress by other local Leagues.
• Identify what area of climate we currently want to address.
• Develop climate change action plan for chosen area.
• Determine the audience for our action.
• Develop a time line for action.
• Gather resources needed for action plan.
• Execute the plan.
• Develop on-going climate change action plan for LWV of Orange Coast.

How You Can Get Involved:

• Join the Climate Interest Group.
• Share contacts and information about local groups with similar interest.
• Provide links to relevant educational information.
• Recommend speakers fluent with climate issues.
