Guidelines and Forms for LWV Education Fund Activities
The League of Women Voters of Missouri Education Fund (LWVMOEF) was established in 1984 as an educational arm of the League of Women Voters of Missouri. It qualifies under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code as an organization that may accept contributions that are considered to be tax deductible for the donor. Under its Local Grant Program, Leagues solicit local contributions to the LWVMOEF and obtain grants from the LWVMOEF for approved educational projects in their communities.
The following guidelines and forms outline steps to follow in soliciting contributions and in applying for and administering LWVMOEF grants. They include specifics on procedures required by the Internal Revenue Service to protect donors and the LWVMOEF.
